Bengaluru, Jan 2: The National Investigating Agency will question one person arrested by the Bihar police on the suspicion that he could have had a role to play in the Bengaluru Church Street blasts.

The person who hails from Jehanabad was picked up after the NIA alerted the state police. NIA sources tell Oneindia that this person is a suspect, but only once a thorough investigation of the person is done will they come to any conclusion.

Bengaluru blast: One held in Bihar

Vigil in Bihar

The NIA feels that a module based in Bihar could have carried out the blast in Church Street also. We are checking all possibilities and want to be doubly sure, the officer said. It may be recalled that the Patna, Bodhgaya and Chennai train blasts had a link to Bihar.

The NIA says that they are studying the similarities of these attacks. So far there is nothing concrete on hand, but such investigations take time the officer also pointed out.

Sketches to be released put on hold

The Bengaluru police which is also investigating the case says that they will wait a while before they release the sketches. The eye witness had told us that there were three persons at the spot.

While the sketches of the three persons have been prepared the police is still trying to verify the accuracy. We have learnt that while three persons in a white zen car were at the spot, it was one person who dropped off the packet in between the flower pot.

No concrete leads

The police is however struggling to get leads in the case. They are coordinating with the NIA for more information. A team of the police which had gone to Warrangal returned empty handed.

Moreover no concrete leads emerged out of Chennai where the police had initially suspected the role of the Al-Ummah. The police are also not ruling out the possibility that this could have been an independent operation without the backing of any major terror group.
