Bengaluru, Feb 15: The leopard, which was captured from Vibgyor School last week, has escaped from Bannerghatta Rescue centre. The incident came to light after zoo caretakers found the leopard missing on Monday, Feb 15.

Officials say that the leopard was very aggressive during its stay at the rescue centre. Hence forest officials are on their toes to capture it again.

Meanwhile, the leopard had sent residents of Varthur into a tizzy after it was spotted near Vibgyor school last week. The leopard is an 8-year-old full-grown male.

On February 7, the leopard had entered Vibgyor school and had injured three forest department personnel, including a veterinarian, before it was tranquilised after a day long operation.
