Bengaluru, June 25: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) elections will be held on July 28, State Election Commissioner PN Srinivasachari said on Thursday.
The day of the election will be declared as a holiday so that more people come out to cast their vote.
Srinivasachari said that with the annoucement of the election date, the code of conduct has been out into effect.
NOTA (None Of The Above) will not be available for the election. Poll results will be announced on July 31.
6,733 polling stations will be set-up in 198 wards. Three helplines will also be set up for receiving complaints-08022374740, 08022224748, 08022221188.
