Bengaluru: Bandh in Shivajinagar today to protest killing of RSS activist

Bengaluru, Oct 17: The RSS has called for a bandh in the Shivajinagar assembly constituency in Bengaluru on Monday after one of its leaders was hacked to death on Sunday. Rudresh, an RSS and BJP leader was hacked to death by two motorcycle borne youth at Kamraj Road which is in the heart of the city on Sunday morning.

The RSS has called for a complete shut down of the Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency on Monday. The police as a precautionary measure have imposed Section 144 of the Cr.PC at four police limits on Monday- Shivajinagar, Frazer Town, Commercial Street and Bharathi Nagar.

Bluru: RSS activist hacked to death

Rudresh, the mandal president of the Shivajinagar Shikha of the RSS, was also the secretary of the BJP unit in Shivajinagar. He had taken part in a route march near the RBANMS Grounds before he was murdered.

He had stopped his motor cycle at Kamraj Road and was talking to three of his friends when two men on a motorcycle attacked him.

Rudresh was immediately taken to hospital, but was declared brought dead. Soon after the incident news spread and RSS activists staged a protest outside the Commercial Street police station. The busy shopping area witnessed massive traffic jams.
