The Bengaluru police arrested Evelyn Mary Roy, wife of the driver who drove away a van filled with money meant for an ATM on November 23. Police has also recovered Rs 79.08 lakh from the woman.

The Banaswadi police arrested her when she was returning home with her 12 year old son late Sunday night and handed her over to the West division police who are investigating the case on Monday. Rs 79.08 lakh in new Rs 2000 currency notes was recovered from her.

ATM-Accused

Evelyn, who had returned from Dubai only a couple of days before the heist, is said to have accompanied her husband after he stole over 95 lakh from a van carrying money for ATMs. The couple along with Evelyn's son and sister's family travelled from Bengaluru to Krishnagiri and then proceeded to Coimbatore and landed in Chennai. While the Bengaluru police were on the lookout for Dominic, he was roaming about carrying the money with him all along.

Evelyn was arrested while returning home with her son with the cash. Dominic is still at large. The minor son will be handed over to relatives.
