the
load
shedding
schedule
to
four
hours
a
day.
A proposal for load shedding in Bengaluru city has been approved by the State Cabinet on August 31. According to the proposal, Bengaluru will have load shedding for two hours and eight hours in rural areas. [ Power cut in Bengaluru: Brace yourself for darkness!]
The reason for the power cut was production deficit. According to the new decision by the Bescom authorities, the rest of state will face a power cut of 8-10 hours.
The announcement was made by Bescom after organizing a series of meetings. The residential areas will face power cuts of four-hours, while industrial and commercial set up will face 2-hour of power shortage.
The most affected areas by the announcement are Koramangala, Indiranagar, Jayanagar, Malleswaram and RT Nagar.
At the same time, Bescom has taken adequate steps to ensure power supply in water supply systems, hospitals, airport and railways without fail.
