Bangalore: Noted writer UR Ananthamurthy admitted in hospital
He was admitted over a kidney ailment and is said to be in a critical condition. He was suffering from dialysis and sued to make frequent trips to the hospital for the treatment.
Recently during the Lok Sabha elections, Ananthamurthy was in a controversy after he said that he would not live in the country 'if Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister.'
His statement was criticised by many following which there was security deployed at his residence fearing backlash from BJP supporters.
Dr Sudarshan Ballal of Manipur Hospitals said every care is being taken for Ananthamurthy's treatment. He also said that the latter had a multi-organ failure and is on life support system.
