Assembly poll results in 4 states to be announced today
Currently, the Congress and the BJP have two governments each in these four states but exit polls this time have predicted a much favourable result for the BJP.
In BJP-ruled Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, the battles are expected to be close though the BJP is predicted to be the winner. Raman Singh and Shivraj Singh Chouhan are the chief ministers of these states, respectively.
In Rajasthan, the predictions are clearly in favour of the BJP. Vasundhara Raje looks strong to come back as the chief minister for the second time.
In Delhi, the scenario looks tricky with the newcommer Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) making it a three-way contest in an otherwise bipolar state. The Congress has been in power for 15 years in Delhi.
Mizoram also went to the polls this time. Results of the northeastern state will, however, be declared on December 9.
