Malala Yousafzai, Kailash Satyarthi: When warring nations share Nobel Peace Prize
Amidst all these, two individuals, carrying the message of peace, fighting against the atrocities committed against humanity share the Nobel Peace Prize; and they happen to be an Indian and a Pakistani.
Pakistani child activist Malala Yousafzai and Indian child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi on Friday won the Nobel Peace Prize jointly for their efforts against the suppression of children and young people in both the countries.
This itself sends out a strong message to both the countries that India and Pakistan can cut across all politics, all religious barriers to come out strong in spreading the message of love and peace. Both the countries need to take this as an inspiration to end all problems between them.
Even the Nobel Peace Prize Committee praised Yousafzai and Satyarthi saying that a Hindu and a Muslim, an Indian and a Pakistani joined together in a common struggle.
Shortly after the announcement was made, people flooded Twitter with congratulatory messages-
