6 cops killed in Bihar Maoist attack
Aurangabad (Bihar), Dec 3: At lease six policemen were killed in a landmine blast by the Maoists in Bihar's Aurangabad district on Tuesday afternoon. The officers were on a patrolling jeep and were on their way back to Tandwa police station from Nabinagar when the explosion took place near Uttri Kol Nahar.

Police sources said officer in-charge of Tandwa polic station Ajay Kumar was also among the dead. The death toll could rise further, they added.

Aurangabad, located about 200 kilometres from Patna, is a Maoist-hit district bordering Palamu district of Jharkhand.

On Nov 30, Maoists had opened fire on a passenger train in Bihar's Munger district killing three GRP jawans.
