The potency test report was released on Friday, Oct 18. Joint Commissioner of Police Sector-I JK Bhatt was quoted as saying, "The potency test was conducted on Asaram on Friday. We have received the medical report which is similar to the one obtained from Rajasthan."
Here it can be recalled that Asaram had cleared another potency test which was conducted on him in Rajasthan in Sept 2013. The controversial spiritual guru was first arrested in connection with another sexual assault case in which he was accused of assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

Speaking about Asaram's response to police investigation, the cop on Friday also informed that he has not given his consent for a lie-detector test. Hence, police could not force him to go for the test. Bhatt said that for certain tests, consent of the concerned person is required.
When asked if Asaram was cross-examined along with the victim during his remand period, Bhatt said that both of them were questioned, but not in front of each other as both denied to do so.
Police, it was learnt, would seek Asaram's remand from the court on Saturday, Oct 19 when his current remand period ends. Recently, the Surat police registered two complaints one against Asaram and another against his son Narayan Sai for rape, sexual assault, illegal confinement and other charges, as alleged by the two sisters.
