Narendra Modi launches 'Chai Pe Charcha' campaign
Reminiscing his earlier days as a tea vendor, Modi said that 'tea and technology has given him this opportunity.'
The event, a simulcast from Ahmedabad, was being broadcasted across many cities in the country encouraging many people to interact with Modi. Speaking at the launch Modi said that tea stalls were like footpath parliament, where all issues were discussed.
"Selling tea has taught me many things. All discussions in India begin over tea," he said. Speaking to the people from across the country, Modi said that they would discuss 'good governance.'"Corruption is the biggest issue today. Good governance is the key to this issue. People have lost faith in the government. We need to fix that," he said.

Addressing the issue of black money, Modi said that if the BJP is voted to power, it will make sure that all the black money will be brought back to the country. "We will bring every single rupee of black money. We are committed to this," he said.
Addressing a query from Bihar, Modi said that the 'people of Bihar were very talented. "Bihar is not poor. Poor governance and political culture has spoilt Bihar. We need to take it ahead," he said.
Answering about the 'law and order' situation in Uttar Pradesh, Modi said that security pf people and law and order in state is very important. "UP has a lot in terms of tourism. If law and order is not maintained in UP, tourists will not come," he said.
Speaking about the Garib Kalyan Schemes, Modi said that last mile delivery for good governance.
Addressing the issue of terrorism, Modi said: "Internal security is a very serious issue. We need the toughest laws on this. There must be zero tolerance towards terrorism."
