Ahmedabad, Nov 23: Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel stoked a controversy on Saturday, Nov 22 when she said that women are responsible for spreading litter and garbage in their surroundings.
While addressing at the two-day event of 'National Youth Convention' in Valsad district of Gujarat, state's 73-year-old first woman CM was talking about PM Narendra Modi's "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" campaign.
She reportedly said that the besides keeping their homes clean, women should make extra efforts to keep the society clean.
She also said that the Gujarat government would built toilets in every house with people's participation.
Besides, she also talked about abolishing of social evil like female foeticide and she also stressed over the importance of women education.
