Salman Khan was in Gujarat to promote his upcoming film Jai Ho, set to release on January 24. The actor recently found himself in controversy for participating at the Saifai Mahotsav in Uttar Pradesh where several people are struggling in the relief camps in riot-hit Muzaffarnagar.
Khan later defended himself and his fellow artistes who performed at the event saying they were just professionals doing the job for money and also said about his NGO Being Human would fund 200 paediatric surgeries in Uttar Pradesh on behalf of the the performers who were present at Saifai.
On Sunday, Khan praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his visit to the state for promoting his film. He said the BJP won the state for the third consecutive term because of Chouhan's "good work".
