New Delhi, Sept 3: The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the 11th Asian Pacific Postal Union (AAPU) Congress today at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the AAPU, an inter-governmental organisation of 32 countries of the region is actively working and to improve cooperation among member nations in the field of postal service.

Among the dignataries present on the occasion were Dr. Killi Kruparani, Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology, Mark Lawley, Chairman of Asian Pacific Postal Union Executive Council and P Gopinath, Secretary, Department of Posts.
