Asaram won't surrender today before the police, says son

Bangalore, Aug 30: As the deadline from the police comes closer, will the controversial godman Asaram Bapu surrender before the police?, No, says his son Narayan Sai.

Narayan has said that his father has no plans to surrender before the Jodhpur police today.

Meanwhile the Rajasthan police said that we will arrest Asaram if he fials to answer the summons by 30 August in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a 16-year-old inmate at his ashram in Jodhpur.

Earlier, Asaram's lawyer has informed that he can't appear before the police due to relative's death.

His deadline by the police ends today and Jodhpur DCP Ajaypal Lamba said Asaram Bapu will not be granted any further extension and he has to present himself by this evening.
