1993 Mumbai serial blasts accused arrested in Kerala
Kannur (Kerala) Aug 28: The Kerala police have arrested the 24th accused in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blast case on Wednesday.
Based on the information from the Intelligence source, Manoj Lal Buriwal was arrested today morning by the state police in Athazhakunnu in Kannur district.
He was awarded life imprisonment in the 1993 Mumbai blast case, after 14 years of jail term he sought a bail and went underground.
Manojlal Buriwal changed his name to Munnabhai to carry out underworld activities in Mumbai.
The CBI team has failed to catch him on many occasions even last time when he visited Kannur for his wife's delivery.
The special TADA court had convicted 100 accused including actor Sanjay Dutt in connection with the 1993 blasts. There were a series of 13 powerful explosions at various places in Mumbai on March 12, 1993 which left 250 people dead.
