Bollywood actor Om Puri booked for assaulting wife, goes missing
Bangalore, Aug 27: Padma Shri award-winning bollywood actor Om Puri is absconding after his second wife Nandita lodged an assault case against him.
The actor's wife Nandita has filed a complaint in Versova police station, saying that her husband hit her with a rod after an argument over maintenance of their flat in Seven Bungalows in Andheri (west) on Aug 22 night.
Mumbai police have registered a case under IPC sections 324 (causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
According to the Mumbai police, the actor had gone missing since the incident has occurred.
Harishchandra Parmale senior inspector said that police team had gone to arrest Om Puri but he was not at his residence and we are trying to trace him through his cellphone.
Meanwhile Nandita and Om Puri were going through the tough time when his first wife, Seema Kapoor, relinked ties with him and moved out of Versova flat and started living with Seema in Oshiwara.
