15-year-old girl, raped and kidnapped in New Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 24: Shame continues to pour in for the nation as a day after protests erupted across the nation against the Mumbai gangrape of a photojournalist, news poured in that a 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped in the capital earlier this week.

The girl was abducted by three people from Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi and was taken to Chattarpur, where one of them raped her.

According to the police officials, the girl had come to the hospital to visit her sister, who had delivered a baby there and on her way back home she got lost.She was then kidnapped by the main accused who then took her to Chattarpur, where two of his accomplices were already present.

The police said that they have arrested the main accused while hunt is on to nab the others.

"The main accused raped her while the other two molested her. Later on they hired an autorickshaw till Safdarjung hospital from where she found her way back home and narrated the entire episode to her parents who then approached the police," the police official said.

Police are on the lookout for the other two culprits.
