Mumbai, Aug 23: The Mumbai Police on Friday in its press conference claimed to have cracked the Mumbai gangrape case and said that all five accused have been identified and one is under police custody. Hunt is on to nab the other culprits.
The police confirmed the circumstances of the incident and said that the rape took place around 6.30 pm in the evening on Thursday.
Shiv Sena demands resignation of RR
Shiv Sena's women wing protested outside NM Joshi Marg police station here on Friday. Raising slogans for women safety in the city, the party workers demanded resignation on Maharashtra Home Minster R R Patil's resignation.
MNS Chief Raj Thackeray later at his press conference, slammed at R R Patil and demanded his resignation and the resignation of Mumbai Police Commissioner. Addressing reporters he said that law and order was deteriorating in the state.
"Women of all ages should send a box of bangles to R R Patil," he said.
