Mumbai, Aug 23: It was a doctored video that attracted the disappointment and anger of the Big B. Its now time to calm him down. And doing this would be the person himself who started it, as reported by The Mumbai Mirror.
Utpal Jivrajani (47), a music composer from Rajkot, who uploaded a doctored video admitted doing this, but by mistake. He further added that he uploaded the video, which is received from WhatsApp and uploaded it because he found it interesting.
However, he is planning to travel all the way to Mumbai to apologise to Amitabh Bachchan in person. The video showed Amitabh Bachchan 'endorsing' Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India, which was severely criticized by both the actor and the chief minister of Gujarat.
"Dear all... Fake video circulation... In the year 2007, I did a 'Lead India' campaign..., where we talked of the glorification of the country and India! Somebody has made a fake video by using my voice and text of what I spoke in the original, and falsely and mischievously, interspersed it with visuals which indicate a campaign for the promotion of the Hon Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi!!" said the actor.
Gujarat Chief Minister backed him saying, "Agree with @SrBachchan. The author of the fake video should take action immediately and apologise to Amitabhji."
Before the duo could take legal action against the culprit, Utpal Jivrajani came up with an apology and explanation. He said, "On August 15, I received this video of Amitabh Bachchan and I found it very interesting, so I uploaded it. But when I found out that it had enraged him and Chief Minister Narendra Modi, I apologised to both of them. I have also deleted it from YouTube."
