New Delhi, Aug 23: Tina Ambani, wife of Reliance ADAG chairman Anil Ambani, on Friday appeared as a prosecution witness in 2G spectrum case in Delhi.
According to reports, Tina told the Patiala House Court, "I'm a social worker. I take care of the family and engage in social work. I'm not actively involved in the business and the company's affairs."
The former Bollywood actress also said that she had no knowledge of Swan Consultancy, AAA Consultancy and Tiger Traders.
The CBI decided Tina to make a prosecution witness as she 'presided' over meetings where key decisions related to Swan Telecom were taken.
Earlier, Tina Ambani, had moved a plea seeking exemption from personal appearance.
However, Anil Ambani, who appeared in Court yesterday, said that she would be appearing before it on Friday.
The CBI has yesterday said that Anil Ambani should be declared a hostile witness for 'not co-operating'.
On July 19, the court had allowed CBI's plea to make Anil and Tina Ambani as prosecution witnesses.
It had said CBI's move to summon Anil Ambani, his wife Tina Ambani and 11 others as prosecution witnesses was essential for arriving at a just decision in the case.
The trial in the 2G case involves 17 accused, including three companies -- Reliance Telecom Ltd, Swan Telecom Pvt Ltd and Unitech (Wireless) Tamil Nadu Ltd.
