Indian teenager wanders off in Pak, arrested and sent to prison

Islamabad, Aug 22: An Indian teenager accidentally walked across the border and wandered into Pakistan only to be arrested later by the Pakistani Rangers at Cheta Chowk.

The boy identified as Jitendar Arjunwar, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, told the police that he had fought with his mother two months back and later left his house in anger. Once he had left his house he kept wandering everywhere across the country.

After a month he came across a place that was secured with barbed wires which he mistook to be a place with barbed wires to ward off the livestock. To continue his journey, he dug the soil beneath the fence and reached the other side from where he continued his journey.

Once when thirst crept in, he saw some light and went towards it. Upon reaching the place he saw some men in military uniform who gave him some water and inquired about him.

Following the discussion he was handed over to the Juvenile Prison, in the country's Hyderabad city in the Sindh province on Friday.

The boy spoke both Urdu and English according to the Khokhrapar police SHO Khurishid Bhatti.
