Disruption in Lok Sabha: 11 Seemandhra MPs suspended
New Delhi, Aug 22: Eleven Seemandhra MPs (seven Congress and four TDP) were suspended from the Lok Sabha on Thursday for causing disruptions in the House over the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
The Seemandhra parliamentarians were raising 'Jai Samaikyandhra' slogans in the House over the past one week and creating ruckus. Members of the Opposition NDA and Left parties and Trinamool Congress also protested, crippling the House proceedings.
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj slammed the UPA government over the suspension of the MPs.
