Curfew imposed in Indore, 50 injured including 20 cops
Indore, Aug 22: Violence broke out in Chandan Nagar area of Indore on Tuesday after a cow caracas was found.

police.
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Alok Singh said, "As a precautionary measure, district administration imposed a curfew in the Chandan Nagar police station limits where the situation is tense but under control."
As per report, people of a particular community staged a road blockade and later people of another community started pelting stones at them, which ignited the anger.
Among 20 cops injured were Superintendent of Police (SP), additional SP and a constable, who sustained bullet injury.
In an order to control the situation, the police used teargas-shells and fired around a dozen shots in the air to disperse the stone pelting protesters.
Nearly 100 people are reported to be arrested in connection with the violent clashes.
Curfew was imposed in seven police station areas including in narrow lanes of Pandrinath, Chhatripura and Malharganj police station areas and was extended in the night to Central Kotwali, Sadar Bazaar, Raoji Bazaar and Sarafa localities.
Superintendent of Police (west) Anil Singh Khushwaha said that heavy police force has been deployed in the area and and senior officials were patrolling the streets.
