Karnataka Congress leader compares Siddaramaiah with Narendra Modi
Bangalore, Aug 19: Ambareesh, the former Union minister and currently Karnataka state minister in charge of Mandya district, sparked off a controversy on Monday after comparing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as the Narendra Modi of Karnataka. The actor-politician made this remark while campaigning for Ramya, the actor who is contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha bypolls from Mandya.
Ambareesh, the state minister for housing, made the controversial remark in KR Pet in the presence of top leaders like Siddaramaiah, Veerappa Moily, Athmananda, Baburao Chinchanasurand others and it has already created controversy in the Congress circles.
"I had told Siddu will become CM one day. Now he has been striving for the welfare of Karnataka people. I have birthmark on my tongue. Whatever I say will come true. Siddaramaiah is just like Narendra Modi in Gujarat," he said.
