Sandalwood actress Ramya gets emotional during election campaign
Bangalore, Aug 13:Sandalwood actress and the congress candidate for the Mandya byelection Ramya started her election campaign on an emotional note.
Just 9-days ahead of the by-poll elections she had the sympathies of the mass because of her recent bereavement when she lost her guardian R T Narayan recently. Add to it the allegations pertaining her parentage, slammed by the opposition party, which might have led to her emotional frame of mind.
While veteran actor Ambreesh turned politician campaigned on her behalf, she stood mum and teary-eyed in an open jeep after performing puja in a temple. While inaugurating the election office on the occasion, Chief minister Siddaramaiah and other Congress leaders said that they would campaign for Ramya.
The actress filed her nomination on August 3, against former legislator C S Puttaraju of JD(S), immediately after which her guardian expired.
