Perhaps, in a greed to become wealthy in a short period of time, many people are taking undue advantage of their connection with political parties and are indulging in carrying out illegal mining as they know that they will easily get away with it and without having any fear of law.

In past few days, complaints of indiscriminate illegal sand mining from Banda district were reported, then the District Magistrate (DM) Sheetal Verma launched a movement against mafias but she was subsequently transferred by the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav-led government.
