Oak Creek (USA), Aug 7: Members of the Sikh community assembled outside the gurudwara here on Monday night to remember the six persons who were killed in the mass shooting on August 5 last year.

A person named Wade Page entered the gurudwara on that sunny yet ill-fated Sunday morning and started firing indiscriminately, killing Sita Singh, Ranjit Singh, Paramjit Kaur, Suveg Singh Khattra, Satwant Singh Kaleka and Prakash Singh.

Leaders of other faiths also participated in the meeting to express solidarity and condemn the violence. Survivors of similar shooting incidents and relatives of those who were killed in such shootings in other parts of the USA also took part in the candlelight vigil and spoke about their experience. Top civic officials were also present on the occasion.
