Sources said Sattar was arrested here last week after he was sent to India from West Asia. He was set to be produced in a anti-terror court in Kerala on Saturday.

Sattar is also being investigated for the serial blasts in Bangalore and attack outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in 2010. The NIA reportedly said that Sattar was trained in using improvised explosive devices and firearms in Kerala's Kottayam.
