Heavy rainfall predicted, MET cautions people
Bangalore, July 30: Heavy rainfall has lashed several parts of the country in the past few days and will continue to do so, believes Met department.
Some of the places likely to receive very heavy rainfall in the coming few days include West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
Some of the other places to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall include Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab
The met department predicts severe weather conditions in the middle and the eastern part of the country and has asked people to be alert. Heavy rain to very heavy rain would occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.
