Jammu and Kashmir, July 19: Four people were dead and 20 were injured in a clash between the locals and the BSF, after allegations that the latter had manhandled a spiritual leader. The incident happened in Gool toen of the sensitive Ramban district, approximately 145 kilometers from Srinagar, close to a BSF camp.

Things took a violent turn when the BSF stopped one person for questioning and he did not respond properly. While a group was gathering around the commotion, the BSF personnel decided to go back to the camp.

However, the group made false allegations against the BSF and said that they had violated the dictum of Quran, defended BSF. Following this, a mob of 400-500 people gathered around the post when the personnel called the police and they dispersed, said officials. But, they returned and started pelting stones and tried to ransack the post, which is when the personnel fired.
