Bangalore, July 18:Southwest monsoon was very active over Marathawada, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Telengana.

Rain and thundershower occurred at various places in the west coast, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh and Saurashtra and Kutch. Some of the other places to receive rainfall include West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, north Andhra Pradesh and northeastern States.

Very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Konkan amd Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the next three days.

Heavy to very heavy rain are likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka, during the next 48 hours.
