LLB student shot in Meerut

, July 17: An LLB student was allegedly

by bike-borne assailants over some rivalry when he was riding a two-wheeler here, police said today.

Sonu, who also works part-time at a petrol pump, was shot last night, but his girlfriend, who was sitting behind him on the two-wheeler, escaped unhurt, police said. The youth has been admitted to hospital and the girl was handed over to her family.

No complaint has been lodged so far in connection with the incident. Police investigations have revealed that the assailants had some rivalry with the youth, adding that the matter would be clear once he regained consciousness.
