Hyderabad, Jul 16: Eight people were killed in various rain-related incidents in Andhra Pradesh in during the last few days, official sources said.
Among them, four belonged to Karimnagar district and two were from Khammam district. One death each was reported from Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad, official sources said.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the rainfall situation as well as relief measures with senior officials today. Heavy rains lashed several parts of Andhra Pradesh during the last few days throwing normal life out of gear and causing damages.
According to the Indian Meterological Department (IMD), a low pressure area has formed over the North West Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas in Gangetic West Bengal and North Orissa. The IMD has forecast heavy rains at isolated places in several districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region during the next 48 hours. P
