Assam: Police nab drug-liquor peddlers
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested one Moksed Ali from Gogmalasa area under Rangia police station and recovered one quintal of ganja, worth more than Rs 12 lakh, from him.
Ali had acquired the contraband from Dimapur and Bhutan and was planning to take it to Delhi. In a simultaneous raid, police arrested eight persons, five from Chaygaon and three from Goromoimari area of the district and seized 60,000 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from their possession, the sources added.
