India likely to get heavy rains in the next 48 hours
Bangalore, July 12:Southwest monsoon was very active over Telangana and moderately active over Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and south interior Karnataka.
Rain and thundershowers occurred at most places, along the west coast and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Many places over east Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Gangetic West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, northeastern states, East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, interior Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, interior Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar islands and Lakshadweep and at one or two places over Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Tamilnadu have aslso received heavy rainfall. These areas are going to receive heavy rainfall during the next 2 days also.
However, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Some of the other places to receive very heavy rainfall include Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Odisha, Kerala Lakshadweep and Andaman.
Coastal Karnataka is likely to receive very heavy rainfall during the next 48 hours.
