Aamir, Hrithik step forward to help Uttarakhand victims
Mumbai, July 10: Bollywood celebrities such as Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and many others finally stepped forward to help the victims who suffered tremendous loss due to flood in Uttarakhand.
The two actors donated Rs 25 lakh each for the flood-ravaged hill state. Speaking about their move of donating money to the Prime Minister fund, Hrithik Roshan said, "One must do what one can to help others in need. It must become part of your belief system and must start at home."

about
his
charities.
The
old
belief
of
'self-glorification' giving
and
not
talking
about
it
does
not
serve
the
higher
purpose
of
teaching
people
to
give
and
propagating
the
ideal."
"We must set examples so that others may follow. Among all the negatives in the world, the positives must not go unnoticed," added Hrithik who also thanked Aamir for initiating the drive to help the victims.
The Bollywood fraternity has collected Rs 1 crore so far. Other celebrities who contribute in the fund are -- Javed Akhtar, Shatrughan Sinha, Shabana Azmi and Anupam Kher.
Earlier Sanjay Dutt, who currently has been lodged in Yerwada Jail in Pune, asked his wife Manyata to donate money for Uttarakhand victims. Sanjay Dutt's asked to organise charity show to collect fund for Uttarakhand which has been shattered by heavy rains, floods and land slides. Many were killed, thousands of people have been misplaced.
