Morphed picture of Sonia Gandhi lands BJP activist in soup
Jalandhar, July 2: A complaint was filed by Congress worker, Sanjay Sehgal, against BJP activist, Sandeep Bhalla, for uploading an objectionable picture of the Congress President-Sonia Gandhi and posting derogatory comments on Facebook.
The complaint was lodged with the Cyber-crime branch. BJP state president Kamal Sharma disapproved of the act and said, "Our party respects women and such acts will not be tolerated. If our party worker is involved, then disciplinary action will be taken against him. We will launch an investigation and get to the root. I would ensure that he is punished, if he is found guilty."
If found guilty, this action could go against the interest of BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, the Cyber-crime branch is tracing the IP from where the picture has been uploaded. "Once found, we would have enough evidence to nab the culprit," said the police.
Cyber-crime seems to have taken a toll in everyone's life; even the Congress-President Sonia Gandhi was not spared!
