Heavy rain likely in parts of Karnataka
The temperature range will be maintained between 20-29°C throughout the state. While the maximum temperature was below normal degree by 6 to 8 degree celsius in many parts of central India, rainfall occurred in many places in eastern Uttar Pradesh and along the west coast, a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, northeastern states, central Maharashtra, southern Gujarat and Lakshadweep.
Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, however, remained dry. Good amount of rainfall was recorded in Bhagalpur, Bhira, Kodaikanal, Sultanpur, Purnea and Agartala, Mukteshwar, Diu, Alibag and Silchar.
Rainfall and thundershowers are expected in Madhya Pradesh, northern Chhattisgarh, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and along the west coast.
Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will be receiving heavy rain and thundershowers in the next 48 hours.
