Weather report: Heavy rain, thundershower likely in MP

New Delhi, June 27: The temperature in various parts of the country has dropped by the usual standards due to the pre-monsoon arrival. Bangalore reports 24 degrees, while Hyderabad reports a temperature of 26 degree. Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands report temperature of 29 degrees each.

According to the Met department, rain and thundershower are likely to occur in many parts along the west coast Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim and northeastern states on many days of the week.

Heavy rains are likely to occur in various parts of Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and interior Karnataka during the 1st half of the week and increase in the 2nd half.

Showers are also expected to occur at few places over the south peninsular India. Rainfall is likely to increase over the western Himalayan region during the 2nd half of the week.

Similar weather conditions would occur at one or two places over remaining parts of the country.

Bangaluru

The maximum temperature in Bengaluru is likely to rise to 27 degree celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 20.6 degree celsius. The city is likely to witness 15.3 mm rainfall throughout the day. Light rains are likely throughout the week maintaining the maximum temperature at 28 degrees celsius.
