Para-commandos and ITBP men, based in Gaurigaon, were conducting the search, ITBP Inspector General Inder Singh Negi told reporters in Gauchar.
ITBP's Deputy Inspector General Amit Prasad said: "We will send more personnel to complete the rescue operations with the main focus on the Badrinath and Harsil valleys."
Till now, around 1000 people are reported to be dead in the disastrous flash flood and cloud bursts here. Many are still stranded but rescue processes are on. Although the rescue operations slowed down due to bad weather, the IAF committed that they would work round the clock to rescue the stranded.
The Mi-17 chopper crash yesterday had downplayed the rescue operations and its frugality, but the spirit of the Indian soldiers have revived the hope that was soon losing the race of time.
