Mumbai, June 5: 25-year-old Jiah Khan could have prevented herself from taking the extreme step of killing self if she would have recalled the advice which her mother Rabia Khan used to give her. Jiah succumbed to her circumstances and committed suicide allegedly over love failure with her beau Suraj Pancholi.
Rabia Khan, a former starlet of Bollywood, in one of her blogs wrote that she had asked her daughters to write down their negative thoughts on a piece of paper and burn it. Hence, they could get over from all their negative energies, believed Rabia.
Now, all her efforts have gone in vain as her young daughter failed to follow the advice which could have saved her life. Hours after Jiah's death, Rabia was quoted as saying, "She was fed up with the struggle... she was besotted with Bollywood, but Bollywood had nothing to offer her."
Mumbai Police on Tuesday, June 4 questioned Suraj regarding Jiah's suicide. Suraj, son of Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, arrived at Juhu police station where he was grilled for hours.
According to police sources, Jiah was depressed since she found Suraj's love interest in another woman. The couple reportedly had arguments at different times and the duo had exchanged several messages and had spoken over phone on the fateful night.
Jiah was found dead in her Juhu residence in Mumbai on Monday. Her mother and sister were not present at the flat. Postmortem report said the young actress died due to hanging.
