Sreesanth, Chandila had nasty fight in police custody: Rpt

New Delhi, May 28: S Sreesanth and Ajit Chandila -- the two suspended Rajasthan Royals (RR) cricketers reportedly had a nasty fight during their stint in police custody in New Delhi.

A report claimed that fight between two players began with a heated argument between the duo. The report also stated that Sreesanth accused Chandila of ruining his life and career entrapping him in the infamous IPL spot fixing controversy.

Enraged over Sreesanth's continuous allegations against him, Chandila too fought back and the two players were engaged in spat which attracted attentions of police officials.

The cops later intervened into their argument and controlled the situation, said the report. According to police sources, Sreesanth and other players were disappointed when Saket court in Delhi extended their police custody instead of giving them bail.

Sreesanth, Chandila along with their another team mate Ankeet Chavan and many bookies were arrested from Mumbai. The three cricketers allegedly were involved in spot-fixing in IPL matches for payments up to Rs 60 lakhs for giving away pre-determined number of runs in an over.

The report also informed that Sreesanth looked tensed ever since a CCTV footage was aired on TV news channels. In the footage, Sreesanth along with Chavan were seen with bookies and girls in a hotel in Chandigarh where the team stayed during one match between RR and Kings XI Punjab.
