New Delhi, May 28: Rajesh and Nupur Talwar must be disappointed as the Supreme Court on Tuesday, May 28 dismissed their plea on recording statements on 14 witnesses of Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case for the second time in trial court.

This was the second time when the apex court rejected the same plea by the doctor couple. The court earlier had dismissed Talwars' plea slamming the couple for approaching it directly without considering the role of higher court. Hence, the couple moved Allahabad High Court which also upheld trial court's decision. The trial court had rejected Talwars' plea of calling all witnesses once again.

While recording his statement in the CBI court, Rajesh Talwar claimed that he was asleep on the fateful night when his 14-year-old daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj were murdered. Mr Talwar also asserted that internet activity recorded from his room might not be correct.

Mr Talwar, who along with his wife Nupur are the sole suspects of the double murder case, was asked about the recurrent internet activity recorded from his router on May 15 night when the murders took place.

The investigative agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had claimed that Mr Talwar had used the internet at regular intervals which show he was awake and knew about happenings in Aarushi's room.

Aarushi was found dead at her Noida residence on May 16, 2008. Initially needle of suspicion was pointed at their domestic help Hemraj. However, a day later, their domestic Hemraj's body was also found in the terrace of their house.
