EC mascot Puneet Rajkumar gives voting a miss
With the message reading - The real hero is the one who votes.
And while voters are making a bee-line (slowly and steadily), today, one person who will be conspicuous by his absence would be the actor himself.
Apparently, he is out of the country presently, fulfilling a prior work engagement.
Now that makes for a bad role model, wouldn't you say?
The least the actor could have done, is remain in the city on election day. Or, if that wasn't feasible, what would have added to his "hero-value" would be if he actually flew back to town to cast his vote.
Now his absence leaves him open to questioning. Maybe it is time for the actor to get his priorities right.
Hopefully, his fans don't take his cue to give the elections a miss and do go ahead and caste their votes, just as the actor had urged through the many hoardings.
Also, as a corrective measure, the next time the Karnataka Election Commission goes scouting for a "role model" they better ensure that their brand ambassador gives photo-op on D-day!
Rofl! Puneet Rajkumar #Karnataka election commission's brand ambassador to educate voters, absents from voting! Reason? Overseas trip.
