Bangalore, May 5: Several instances of voters' names going missing from electoral polls were reported from various parts of the capital of Karnataka on Sunday after polling got underway.

In Hebbal for instance, several voters who came to the polling booths armed with their EPICs had to return home dejected for their names did not figure in the electoral rolls.

The stalls set up by the Election Commission (EC) were mobbed by disappointed voters and the personnel had a tough time explaining the reasons behind their names not figuring on the rolls even though they possessed voter identity cards. The personnel said that these voters did not find their names for they did not bother to check the revised rolls.
