Bihar: RJD chief Lalu Prasad injured in car accident
Shakti Yadav, an RJD leader was quoted as saying, "We were unable to comprehend how this accident took place. It was so sudden."
Few tests were carried on the RJD chief in the hospital and he returned to his 10 Circular Road residence in Patna around 11:30 pm, sources informed.
The former CM was on his way to Raghopur where he was scheduled to meet the victims of a major fire accident in the area. The massive fire broke out on Thursday.
According to sources, Lalu Prasad's Innova car got stuck in the middle of a bridge and the windshield broke following the sudden jerk. Prasad, who was sitting on the front seat, sustained injuries in the head and his face.
The RJD chief sustained minor injuries when the windshield of the car suddenly broke on the bridge, said DGP Abhyanand.
Party sources believe that the accident may slow down their preparation for upcoming project. Lalu Prasad and his party men were busy in preparing for ambitious Parivartan Rally which would be held in Patna on May 15.
