Bhopal: Hospital building collapses, 35 feared trapped

, April 26: A hospital building collapsed in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on Friday, April 26. At least 35 people were feared trapped inside the debris. 12 persons have been rescued and no casualties have been reported so far.

The building of Kasturba Gandhi Hospital was under construction. The building collapsed around 5:30 PM. According to sources, most people, who were trapped, were patients admitted to the government hospital.

The wing of the hospital that collapsed was a decades old building and also housed the surgical ward. All injured people and other patients have been shifted to other near by hospital.

Army and local people in the region helped rescue teams to to pull out people from the debris. The government hospital was situated at Fatehgarh area at Bhopal.
