Rahul exposes BJP in Karnataka as Cong is exposed in Delhi
As expected, he focussed on corruption of BJP government in the state while the Congress faced corruption charges on various counts at the Centre.
The number 2 in the Congress spoke of development and corruption while the crowd in dry northern Karnataka listened. The region is now reeling under drought.
As he spoke in Sindhanur (Raichur dist), media houses were exposing massive corruption in various welfare scheme of the Congress-led government at the Centre.
The report by Comptroller and Auditor General of India, available today to the public, has held that the Congress-led UPA Government committed irregularities in the MNREGA scheme to the tune of Rs 13,000 crore.
But taking the role of an angry young man Rahul Gandhi asked "the BJP govt has hurt people in the last five years, aren't you people angry."
The BJP has looted Karnataka during its five-year rule, Rahul said, adding that Congress will ensure that corruption is investigated in Karnataka.
He was about one-and-a-half hours behind schedule and apologised to the crowd for making them wait in the hot sun.
